Canvas Prints
All Joshua Weiss Photographs are available on high quality canvas prints with three different variations to choose from: Canvas wrap, stretched canvas, or flat mounted canvas. A canvas wrap will feature the photo printed on canvas and wrapped around a wooden frame with part of the photo visible on the sides of the frame. This is one of the most common types of canvas prints and stands off the wall an inch and a half to two inches. A stretched canvas is similarly printed on canvas and wrapped around a wooden frame. However, the stretched canvas is stapled to the sides of the frame with the full image visible only on the face of the canvas. This is often used when choosing to add additional framing with some depth to the final wall hanging. The flat mounted canvas features the fine art photography printed on high quality canvas and mounted to a rigid gator board typically used for additional framing with a shallow depth. Sizes are flexible up to a single canvas wrap of 40x60".
Thin Wrap
Thin wraps feature fine art photography printed with a satin laminate material thinly wrapped around a sturdy 3/16" Gator board. The finished piece results in a float mount hanging on your choice of lustre paper, metallic paper, or fine art canvas material. The paper is then over-laminated with a soft satin or glossy laminate. For the extra striking effect, there is a float mounting block spacer applied to the back of the thin wrap allowing the image to be hung and appear to float from the wall. These are available up to 24x36".
Metal Prints
Metal prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the fine art photographs will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight. The finished metal print is then mounted with either a float mount or metal inset frame which positions the fine art off the wall with a floating effect. The float mount hanger sets the photograph 1/2 inch off the wall whereas the metal inset mounting sets it 3/4" off the wall with either a metal cleat or wire hanger wire. Joshua D Weiss photographs are available up to 43x96" in the metal print format.
Acrylic Prints
A sleek and modern treatment for Joshua D Weiss fine art photographs is the acrylic metal print. This approach provides extra depth and radiance to the standard metal print when paired with a polished acrylic. These are available up to 30x45" in size, and are mounted with stainless steel posts on each corner. The stainless posts are mounted through the face of the print floating the final piece 1" out from the wall.
Wood Prints
Maple Wood Prints are printed directly on to 1/2" thick maple surfaced wood board, for a warm and natural-looking print that is also eco-friendly. The grain and other characteristics of the wood shows through the light and white areas of the image for a natural warm tone and vintage feel. The prints can also be done with a white ink underlay on the wood to make the true colors of the fine art photos pop. Both of these options allow the beautiful wood texture to show on the surface which makes each wood print unique and no two prints will look precisely alike.
